Writing is one of the most powerful forms of communication, and surprisingly enough, the person who gets the most out of the writing is often the author. Of course, other people benefit, but the sheer act of writing often reveals to the author something that was hidden deep inside. This is why many of us journal, or write poetry, or craft a short story. We are in search of what matters to us. If we are going to be Of Sound Mind and Heart we have to know what matters to us.
Join the Ohio Chapter of Illuman for our 2021 Virtual Writing Retreat. We do this early in the year at a traditional time of reflection and resolution. Men with all levels of writing experience are welcome. The retreat will take place via Zoom. It will include a variety of engaging sessions and writing styles, although poetry will be its main focus. This is a pencil-to-paper event, not a teaching course.
The retreat begins Friday, Jan. 8 at 8 p.m. Eastern. It concludes at 6 p.m. Saturday Jan. 9. We will also be meeting the following Saturday Jan. 16 for a two-hour post-retreat council 12 p.m to 2 p.m for processing and feedback.
We ask you to attend the entire retreat if possible.

Brian Mueller & Tom Sparough
About the retreat Content Carriers
Brian Mueller and Tom Sparough will be the retreat Content Carriers and have led this retreat together for three years. Brian is a graphic designer and poet with eight self-published volumes of poetry. Tom is also known as the “Space Painter” and is a performance artist and writer specializing in delivering keynotes and programs that are both entertaining and educational.

If you have to cancel for some reason, we request you do so before January 3, 2021. We will be happy to refund your registration fee, but please also consider making a donation.
